Fic Recs

A page that is for sure in the works, but for tiny, I will work on it.

I’ve been reading fanfic for well over ten or fifteen years by this point; while I’ve read for a number of fandoms in the past, my primary fandom of choice the last eight years or so ish has been YGO DM. Sometimes I read YYH fic as well. I read infrequently nowadays, though, and tend to only read when I am doing challenges like the (usually) twice yearly just leave a comment fest and the pre-made fic reading bingo cards I find on tumblr. I’ve also made my own personal YGO DM fic commenting bingo cards, which you can find (and use to help guide your reading, if you’d like) here.

I like to share my commenting progress for challenges like these on tumblr, and include fic recs of what I’d been reading and commenting on because I love reccing fics to people. These rec lists, as of Aug 2024, got me thinking lately about making a generalized Favorites of All Time Fic Rec List. And so, here we are, gang, on Pal’s Fic Recs List Page, and here you are reading Pal’s introduction for it.

Some of the fics I would love to rec have been deleted and lost to the sands of time. I will always miss you, Of Elevators and Muses, among other fics I cannot remember the names of.

The fics that otherwise make it onto this list are ones that I love dearly, have likely commented on in some form, and would probably read over and over again regularly (if I have not done so yet already, because I forget things and get to reread them years later with a fresh mind and enjoy them all over again!!).
