Language Learning Diaries
I am a Native English Speaker who probably could've learned Arabic or French growing up, but due to life circumstances never did. My fascination with languages and linguistics hit me more as young adult (after years of studying Spanish in high school) so I picked up language learning on my own as a hobby, first with Welsh and Japanese, then with Arabic, and then with French. I've dipped my toes into other languages too, like Hawaiian, Hindi, and Guarani, but my main five that I regularly study continue to be Japanese, Spanish, Arabic, French, and Welsh, in that order.
Here I will document my language learning days in diary form, and perhaps write diary entries in my target languages. Fun, right? I think so!!

¡Hola, hablo solo un poco de español! Pero, quiero hablar más contigo. Puedo leer unas de las palabras que tiny escribe, por ejemplo. Quiero comprender MUCHO español uno de estos días (and like not have to go research phrases and definitions every other sentence lmfaooooo) pero estudié solo para tres años en la escuela y para solo un poco más años después de la escuela jajaja. ¡Necesito estudiar gramática más difícil! ¡Necesito hacer algo que me ayude a aprender!
Hi, I speak only a little Spanish! But, I want to speak more with you. I can read some of the words that tiny writes, for example. I want to understand A LOT of Spanish one of these days (and like not have to go research phrases and definitions every other sentence lmfaooooo) but I studied for only three years in school and for only a few more years after school hahaha. I need to study harder grammar! I need to do something that helps me learn!
(AKA, decent enough that I could probably learn more and grow comfortable with it if dropped in a situation where I had to speak only Spanish. I text and write in Spanish better than I speak it out loud (i.e. I need to work harder on blanking less aloud, aka work on my recall!)!)

今、日本語を少し勉強しています。漢字を練習しています。すみません、でも、まだ私の日本語は少し下手ですwwww。もっと言葉と文法を練習したいです。
Right now, I'm studying a little Japanese. I'm practicing kanji. Excuse me, but, my Japanese is still a little poor lolll. I want to practice more words and grammar.
(I have been casually studying for over three years on my own, and managed to read five pages of demon slayer manga in the original Japanese with handwritten kanji search and dictionaries on hand. My English accent is still strong, as I practice reading comprehension and kanji recognition more than I do verbal speech and conversational skills.)
